Walter Barker, age 76, of Athol, KY passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2019 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.-He was born August 3, 1942 at Athol, KY and was the son of the late Squire and Lennie (Roberts) Barker.-He was preceded in death by one daughter:  Maxine Barker.-Two brothers: Glenn Barker and Robert Barker.-He is survived .-One daughter: Christine Barker of Jackson, KY. -Three sons: Donald Keith Barker and Walter Barker, JR of Jackson, KY;-Erin Barker of Indiana.-Six sisters: Fammous Barker of Ft. Myers, FL.-Gladys Barker of Jackson, KY-Marjorie Carpenter of Mt. Sterling, KY-Sue Couch of Georgetown, KY-Rosemary Barker of Jacksonville, FL-Virginia Barker of Shelbyville, KY.-Two brothers: Charles Barker of Winchester, KY-Squire Barker, JR of Booneville, KY.-Also survived by a host of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.-Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Emmitt Campbell officiating.-Burial in the Mort Jett Cemetery at Athol, KY.-Visitation to begin on Sunday at 5:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
