Sarah Turner Johnson, age 81, of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at the Nim Henson Nursing Home in Jackson, KY.-She was born June 13, 1937 at Canoe, KY and was the daughter of the late Newton and Rose (Arrowood) Turner.-She was a member of the Baptist Faith since 1973. -She was preceded in death by two sisters: Oma McQuinn and Liza Stamper.-Four brothers: James Turner, Roger Turner, Sam Turner, Granville Turner.- She is survived by her husband of 56 years: Jasper Johnson of Jackson, KY-Two sons: Dale Johnson and Jeffery Wayne Johnson of Jackson, KY-Two daughters: Janie (Steve) Gross of Ewing, KY-Cathy (Mike) Salyers of Jackson, KY- Twelve grandchildren: Jeff Johnson JR and Robin Johnson; Jasper Gross, Charles Gross, and Steve Gross JR II-Josh Salyers, Nick Salyers, and Adryona Salyers; -Lendella Johnson, Dale Johnson, JR, Cody Johnson and Sarah Johnson.-Nine great grandchildren.-Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Noble officiating.-Burial in the High Top Cemetery, Fire Trail Road, Jackson, KY-Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. with additional singing at 7:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
