Samuel Cockerham, Jr. age 67, of Burchum Fork, Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY. He was born May 25, 1956 in Pontiac, MI and was the son of the late Samuel Cockerham. He was also preceded in death by son: Mark Cockerham. Brother; David Cockerham. He is survived by his mother: Delvena Deaton Cockerham of Nicholasville, KY. His two sons: Michael Cockerham and Christopher Cockerham of Nicholasville, KY. Three brothers: Vernon Cockerham, Steve Cockerham and Jerry Cockerham; all of Jackson, KY. Three sisters: Mary Mogan of Nicholasville, KY ; Brenda Doughten and Kathy Cockerham, both of Lexington, KY. Six grandchildren: Marcus, Raven, Emily, Caylee, Jacob, and Aden. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Michael Spencer officiating. Burial in the H.C. Kidd Cemetery at Fillmore, KY. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am until time of service. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
