Sam Potter, age 70, of Gross Valley Road, Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday , September 11, 2016 at his residence. He was born June 11, 1946 in Jackson, KY and was the son of the late Sam Henry and Della (Robinson) Potter. He was preceded in death by four sisters: Odessa Ritchie, Clarie Strong, Clotella Fletcher and Ruth Lovins. Three brothers: James Potter, Hubert Potter and Daly Potter. He is survived by his wife: Pam (Gross) Potter of Jackson, KY. Four daughters: Tera (Travis) Salyers of Jackson, KY. Tammy (Rick) Stacy of Jackson, KY. Alissa “Allie” Little of Jackson, KY. Malissa McIntosh of Jackson, KY. One son: Stephen Paul (Talya) Gross of Drummond, OK. One sister: Mary Lois Dunn of Jackson, KY. One brother: Willard Ray Potter of Mt. Sterling, KY and special brother-in-law: Everett Fletcher of Jackson, KY. Nine grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Sept. 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Virgil Turner officiating. Burial in the Gross Family Cemetery, Gross Valley Road, Jackson, KY. Visitation will begin on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
