Roy Strong, age 82, of Westland, Michigan and formerly of Saldee, KY passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Livonia, MI.–He was born Sept. 11, 1934 at Saldee, KY and was the son of the late Richard and Susie Strong.– He was preceded also in death by his beloved wife: Mary Jane (Moore) Strong.–Three brothers: Carl Strong, James Strong and John Strong.– He is survived by two daughters: Barbara (Frank) Moore and Mary Smith of Michigan. –Four granddaughters: Jennifer (Tommy) Frentner; Ashley (Bill) Straw, Kristina Smith, (T.J.); Courtney (Adam) Beaudoin,–Two great granddaughters: Avery Beaudoin and Evelyn Brisbois.– Four great grandsons: Brady Frentner, Jaxson Straw, A.J. Beaudoin, Mason Straw.–Two sisters: Thelma Hensley of Saldee, KY. Lois Hensley of Saldee, KY.–Three brothers: Clyde Strong, Tommy (Thelma Lois) Strong and Lloyd (Mary) Strong all of Michigan.–Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Raymond Moore, Roy Moore and Gerald Moore officiating. –Burial in the Moore Family Cemetery at Whick, KY.–Visitation will begin on Friday at 1:00 p.m. with additional singing at 7:00 p.m. –Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
