Readie Hounshell Fugate, age 82, of Jackson, KY passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021, at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.-She was born January 17, 1939, and was the daughter of the late Henry Harlan and Ollie Clemons Hounshell.-Preceded also in death by her brothers: Willard Hounshell, Kelly Hounshell, James Hounshell, and Charles Hounshell. Also preceded in death by her sister, Clearie Hounshell.-She is survived by her husband of 59 years: Raymond Fugate of Jackson, KY.- One daughter: Stella (Glenn) Baker of London, KY.- Two sons: Kelly (Jennifer) Fugate of Jeffersonville, KY and Pearl Gene (Kim) Fugate of Jackson, KY. -She is also survived by one sister: Mary Jane (Simon) Fugate of Wellington, KY. -Readie has six grandchildren: Racheal Vanhoose and Mary Margaret Beaucham, both of Georgetown; Keenan Baker of Versailles; Kari O’Bryan of Corbin; and Maykala and Ethan Fugate, both of Jackson. She is also survived by 4 great grandsons.-Readie was a member of the Middle Quicksand United Baptist Church. She worked for over 30 years as a housekeeper at the Nim Henson Nursing home in Jackson.-Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Eldon Miller officiating.-Burial in the Fugate Family Cemetery, Hwy 542, Guage, KY.-Visitation will begin on Thursday at 11:00 am until time of service.-Deaton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
