Ray Herald, age 88, of Sebastians Branch, KY passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY.-He was born July 1, 1930 at Talbert, KY and was the son of the late Timothy and Cora (Turner) Herald.-Ray was an avid fisherman and was a member of the Macedonia Old Regular Baptist Church. -He was also preceded also in death by one son: Jimmy Ray Herald.-One grandson: Nicklas Spurgeon.–Three sisters: Nancy Turner, Clara Griffith, Martha Herald.-Six brothers: Clyde Herald, Brack Herald, Wilburn Herald, Virgil Herald, John Herald and Brack Herald.–He is survived by his wife: Myrtle Herald of Sebastians Branch,KY-One daughter: Sandra (Charles) Sea of Irvine, KY–Four sons: Timmy Herald and Daniel (Ginn) Herald of Talbert, KY-David Herald of Highland Heights, KY-Gary (Linda) Herald of Sebastians Branch, KY-Two sisters: Fay Sebastian of Talbert, KY; Polly (Jake) Neace of Campton, KY-He is also survived by a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.-Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Jesse Turner and Patrick Turner officiating.-Burial in the Sharon Herald Cemetery at Talbert, KY.-Visitation will begin on Wedneday at Noon at the funeral home.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
