Where do I even begin? Ralph started dating my favorite aunt who was more like a sister when we shared a bedroom in Atlanta, GA in 1970. They married when I was 15 but I was forever attached to Anna so Ralph and I were joined at the hip (for better or worse 🙂 for the rest of her/his life! We had road trips together and always disagreed on the best route to take (I was always right of course, haha), and SO many other memories like buying a boat together when they lived in Jacksonville, FL and I moved in with them when I was 23. In a way we had a 'competive' relationship (over Anna) which never ended. But he was the greatest 'brother-in-law' and had to put up with me. He and I became even closer after Anna died in August 2020 and so the last years since her death he and I became even greater friends. No more 'competition'! I have experienced a lot of melancholy since we lost him, but I know that I know that I know he is in Heaven with her now and is finally unconfined from the limitations his body put on him the last many years. So I celebrate you today and always Ralph, I even had an Ale-8 today in your honor. And I give you my word that your daughter Meghan (my 'surrogate' daughter/cousin) will always have me by her side for the rest of my days. Also know that I will see you again in Heaven. You will still not be able to 'shake' me from being your shadow, LOL. Love you SO much.

So sorry to hear of Ralph’s passing just now, as I spoke with him only a few weeks ago. He was a great friend of some 56+ years, originally from Georgia State University and Pi Kappa Phi so long ago. Ralph was smart as a whip and quick with a quip - a leader of the pack. Rest in peace, brother and sincerest condolences to Meghan.
