Philip Gross, age 83, of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024 at his residence in Jackson.  He was born March 1, 1941 at Highland, KY and was the son of the late Alfred and Naomi Gabbard Gross.  He was a retired school teacher and farmer.  He is survived by his wife: Mary Gross of Jackson, KY.  Two sons: Michael (Janie) Gross and Marcus Gross, both of Sebastians Branch, KY.  Two daughters: Melanie Stevens of Sebastians Branch, KY and Marsha Jett of Jackson, KY.   One step son: Arch Turner of Houston, KY.  Four brothers:  Roy (Oma) Gross; Dailey (Cindy) Gross;  Alfred Jr. (Bambi) Gross; all of OH.   Lloyd (Sandy) Gross of Jackson, KY.  One sister: Margaret Gross of Jackson, KY.  He is also survived by a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Pat Turner officiating.  Burial in the Griffith Cemetery, Sebastians Branch, KY.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Wednesday until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
