Mildred Lee Rogers Roberts, age 75, of Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, August 23, 2024, at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY of an extended illness.  She was born May 2, 1949, in Jackson, KY and was the daughter of the late George and Malean “Mae” Caudill Lee.  She was also preceded in death by her first husband: Austin Rogers as well as a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.  Mildred was a graduate of Jackson City School and a graduate of Mayo Vocational School. She worked over 40 years as a hairdresser in Jackson.  A Worthy Matron of Pan Bowl Chapter of Eastern Star.  A volunteer for hospice and for domestic violence and child abuse at KRCC.  She also was a former member of the Jackson City Council having to recently retire due to her illness.   She is survived by her husband: Peyton Roberts of Jackson, KY.  One Maternal Aunt:  Carolyn Caudill of Dupont, IN.  She is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.  A Celebration of Life and memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 6:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Hollon officiating.    Visitation will be from 4:00 -6: 00 pm Thursday until time of service.  Interment of remains will be in the Jackson Cemetery.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
