Mary Bell Smith Watkins, age 85, of Campton, KY passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington, KY.  She was born November 3, 1938 in Breathitt County and was the daughter of the late Kelly and Elvira Campbell Smith.  She was preceded in death by her son:  Delmess Barnett, Jr.  Her granddaughter: Jennifer Spencer.  Four brothers:  Rob Fugate, Pearl Fugate, Creed Fugate and Hizacar Smith.  One sister: Ada Mae Robinson.   Mary was a homemaker and a nurse aide, and worked for the Breahitt County Senior Citizens, and as a private driver for disabled children for Breathitt County Schools.  She is survived by three daughters:  Mary Alycia Gross of Knott County, KY; Pamela Jean (Dean) Spencer and Marie Terry, both of Campton, KY.  Seven grandchldren’; 3 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.  She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  She was  loving and kindhearted to everyone that knew her.  She will be missed by all.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Brian Spencer officiating.   Burial in Bailey Cemetery, Roark Ridge, Jackson, KY.  Visitation will be Monday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
