Marie Strong Sallee, age 96, of Radclif, KY and formerly of Jackson, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 22, 2018 in Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.–She was born December 20, 1921 at Haddix, KY and was the daughter of the late Manford and Vesta (Davidson) Strong.–She  lived over 90 years in Breathitt County.–Marie was a loving wife of 50 years. -She loved the Lord, her church and her family.– Marie was a life time member of the Eastern Star and a member of Senior Citizens Club of Jackson, KY–She was also a member of the Riverside Christian Training Center at Lost Creek, KY–She was employed at Lees Junior College for over 30 years.–Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dailey Sallee.–One sister: Mildred (Strong) Deaton. -One brother: James Edgar Strong.-Brothers in law: Alex Deaton and Lloyd Elmer Haddix.–A niece: Doris Jean  (Deaton) Ditty and nephew: Eddie Lee Ditty.–She is survived by a sister: Mary Louise (Strong) Haddix of Radcliff, KY–One brother: Marvin Eugene (Peggy Tincher) Strong of Jackson, KY–A sister-in-law: Addie (Thorpe) Strong of Springboro, Ohio.–A niece: Sharon Ann (Strong) Muncie and husband Paul (Sonny) Muncie, of Springboro, Ohio.–A nephew: Marvin Eugene  Strong, JR and wife Susan of Frankfort, KY–She is also survived by four great nephews and one great great nephew.  Six great-great nieces.–Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Bellamy officiating.–Burial in the Haddix Cemetery, INC at Haddix, KY–Visitation will begin on Sunday at Noon.–Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.–Pallbearers: Family and Friends
