Marie Gabbard, age 87, of Beattyville, KY passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024, in Beattyville, KY.   She was born September 17, 1937, at Canoe, KY and was the daughter of the late Leonard and Lettie Combs Gross.  She was preceded in death by her husband: Frank Gabbard.  Six brothers:  Harvey Gross, Pierce Gross, Ed Gross, Bradley Gross, Dexter Gross, and Buford Gross.  Two sisters:  Vernnie Johnson and Jalie Turner.  One grandson:  Blake Pelfrey.  She is survived by two sons:  Greg Gabbard and Jeff Gabbard of Beattyville, KY.  Three daughters:  Marcia Gabbard and Phyllis Gabbard, both of Beattyville, KY and Andrea Gabbard of Washington State.  One brother: Vernon (Freda) Gross of Mt. Sterling, KY and one sister: Mandy (Raymond) Cress of Beattyville, KY.  Seven grandchildren, 2 great grandsons and a host of other relatives and friends also survive.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 27, 2024, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Steve Richmond officiating.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Friday until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
