Marie Brown, age 89, of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.–She was born March 4, 1929 in Blue Diamond, KY and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Molly (Butler) Brown.–She was preceded in death by three sisters: Luna Mae Brown, Floella Brown and Opsie Rae Ballis.–Three brothers: Thomas Brown, JR., Roy Brown and Vernon Brown.–She is survived by two daughters: Earnestine Brown of Hazel Green, KY.-Carolyn (William) Boggs of Hazel Green, KY–Two sons: Orphus Roy (Sheila) Brown of Flatwoods, KY-Rick (Anita) Brown of Woodbridge, VA.-Three sisters: Christine Barnett of Ashland, KY-Yvonne Brown of Newport, KY-Geneva Hamilton of Hamilton, OH.–One granddaughter: Sharon-Marie (Brandon) Dunn.–Six grandsons: Anthony Jackson, Shawn (Jacqueline) Brown, Bryan Brown; Rick Jason Brown, Travis Joyner and Alan (Aimee) Boggs.–Seven great grandchildren–Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 30, 3018 at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Fred Finley and Doug Finley officiating.–Burial in the Marcum Heights Cemetery, Jackson, KY.–Visitation will begin on Friday at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.–Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
