Lee Burnett, age 82, of Canoe Road, Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, September 23, 2016 at the Lee County Care and Rehab Center in Beattyville, KY. He was born May 15, 1934 in Breathitt County, KY and was the son of the late Bill and Ruth (Landsaw) Burnett. He was preceded in death by three sisters: Reva Quaills, Geneva Vender and Elsie Burnett. One brother: Jewell Burnett. He is survived by his wife: Bessie Haddix Burnett of Jackson, KY. Five daughters: Reva (Will) Knops of Akron, OH. Angela Burnett of Akron, OH. Lena Shouse of Lost Creek, KY. Phyllis (Carl) Bush of Saldee, KY. Sandra (Johnny) Nash of Kirbyville, TX. Five sons: Lee Allen (Teresa) Burnett of Akron, OH. William Ray (Melissa) Burnett of OH; Joey (Edna) Honeycutt of VA. John Boy (Linda) Bush of Whick, KY. Willie (Melissa) Bush of West Liberty, KY. Three sisters: Lucy (Carl) Banks of Jackson, KY. Johnnie Jean Jenkins of Jackson, KY. Wanda Thatcher of Jackson, KY. One brother: Donnie Burnett of Vancleve, KY. Twenty two grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with John Tincher officiating. Burial in the W.W. Haddix Cemetery at Lost Creek, KY. Visitation will begin on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
