Katherine Irene Combs Southwood age 79 passed away on Sunday, November 6, 2022, at Hazard Nursing Home, Hazard, KY. She was born May 25, 1943, in Charleston, WV. She was preceded in death by her father Auddie Combs and her mother and step-father Polly Ritchie Combs Ingram and Doug Ingram. She was also preceded in death by sons: Leslie Wayne Southwood and Jeffery Lynn Southwood: Her daughter: Jessie Raye Southwood: Granddaughter Jamie Southwood Francis: Grandson: Billie Combs JR.: Great-grandson: Caleb James Oaks.: Brothers: Arcan Combs and Randal George Ingram. She is survived by her daughter: Rose Anne Noble Southwood (Billy) of Jackson, KY, and Sandra Kaye Southwood of Georgetown, KY: Son: Billie Jean Combs (Diane) of Cynthiana, KY.: Brothers: Calaway Ingram(Diane), Jessie Ingram(Lera), Douglas Ingram. 10 grandchildren. 14 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, and other family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, Nov 9, 2022, from 11:00 a.m- 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel. Remains will be interred at the Ritchie Cemetery, Ball Creek, KY. Deaton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
