Junie (Holbrook) Clemons, age 87, of Clay City, KY and formerly of Jackson, KY passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Saint Joseph Hospital (Bluegrass Hospice Care Center)in Lexington, KY.–She was born August 11, 1931 in Magoffin County, KY and was the daughter of the Lee and Julia Bell (Hensley) Holbrook.-She was preceded in death by her husband: Ervine Clemons.-Two sons: James Clemons and Ervine Clemons, JR.-One sister: Ella Pitts.-Five brothers: Earl Holbrook, Jess Holbrook, Carl Holbrook, Herald “Bear” Holbrook and Willie Holbrook.-She is survived by four daughters: Melva (Blaine) Trusty of Guage, KY, Imogene (Samuel) Slone of Prestonsburg, KY, Wanda Christian of Guage, KY; Cutis (Wallace) Clemons of Clay City, KY- Two sons: Roy (Jean) Holbrook of Jackson, KY-Clarence (Charlotte) Bailey of Jackson, KY.-Daughter in Law: Peggy Clemons of Jackson, KY-Special Lifetime Friends: Jeanette Clemons and Charity Caudill.- Fifteen grandchildren and a host of great grand-children, nieces and nephews.-Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Chapel with Harold Clemons.-Burial in the Ervine Clemons Cemetery of Guage, KY.-Visitation to begin Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
