Julia Watts, age 69, of Whick, KY passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the Hazard ARH. She was born January 1,1954 in Perry County, KY and was the daughter of the late Whick and Mary Akemon Spicer. She was preceded also in death by her son: Dana Lee Spicer. Her brothers: John Spicer, Obie Spicer, Ebb Spicer. She is survived by her husband: Zack Watts of Whick, KY. Her son: George J. Watts of Whick, KY. Her daughters: Brenda (Terry) Herald of Jackson, KY and Hope Watts of Whick, KY. Three sisters: Eva Francis of Curt, KY; Ruby Herald of Lost Creek, KY and Lois Spicer of Evarts, KY. Six grandchildren: Jacob Herald, Julieann Neace, Andrea Crank, Zachary Watts, Jesse Crank, Alyssa Herald. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner and Walter Fugate officiating. Burial in the Spicer and Watts Cemetery, Whick, KY. Visitation will be on Friday from 5:00-9:00 pm with additional services at 6:00 pm. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
