John Will Slone, age 94, of Lawrenceburg, KY passed away on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY.- He was born August 4, 1923 in Elliott County, KY and was the son of the late Joshua H. and Louisa (Pennington) Slone.-He was greeted in Heaven by his parents, nine brothers and sisters, and many other family and friends.-He is survived by wife: Monnie Rhea Slone of Lawrenceburg, KY.-Three daughters: Linda (James) Haddix of Lawrenceburg, KY.-Donna Slone of Lexington, KY. -Cheri (Sam) Johnson of Lawrenceburg, KY- One son: Mike (Bernice) Slone of Georgetown, KY-Eight granchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.–Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 2:00  P.M..  at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Porter and Steve Haddix officiating.-Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.- Visitation will begin on Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements..-Pallbearers: Four Grandsons and Eight Great Grandsons.-Contributions suggested to Honor Flight Kentucky, PO Box 1 Winchester, KY 40392. www.honor flightky.org.
