Jocie Louise Vires Banks, age 69, of Mt. Carmel Road, Jackson, KY passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.  Jocie was born September 28, 1954 at Mt. Carmel in Breathitt County and was the daughter of the late Fitch and Golden Banks Vires.  Jocie was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years; Eddie Dean “Drifter” Banks.  Her first born son, Jerry Dean Banks.  Three sisters:  Audrey Lucas, Rene Spencer, Anna Spencer and one brother: Stanley “Buck” Vires.  Jocie leaves behind one son: Terry Mason Banks (Kelli).  Grandsons:  Dawson Rebel-Blake Banks and Jacob Stone Banks.  Granddaughters: MaHaley Brown and Dallas Adyson RayAnn Banks.  Great granddaughter: Claire Brown.  Sisters: Katherine Vires, Judy Southers, Pamela Shelton (Bob), Sherry Collins (Tony).  One brother: Earl Vires (Sharon).  She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to grieve her passing.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
