Joann (Sewell) Risner, age 52, of Jackson, KY passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY. She was born Nov. 30, 1963 in Hazard, KY and was the daughter of the late Russell and Anna (Butler) Sewell. She was preceded in death by her husband: Norm Risner. One sister: Judy D. Brewer. She is survived by one daughter: Nora Jones of Jackson, KY. Two sisters: Linda Sewell of Jackson, KY; Wilma (Wendall) Gross of Jackson, KY. Eight brothers: William (Kaye) Arrowood of MI; Jim Butler, Danny Benham, Roy (Sherry) Benham, Russell Benham, and Jeff Sewell of Jackson, KY. Ricky (Gail) Benham of Winchester, KY and Randy Sewell of Lexington, KY. One special granddaughter: Braylee Sizemore. A host of special adopted children; grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends. Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, July 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with John Tincher and Eldon Miller officiating. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. until time of service. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flower, donations requested be made to the funeral home.
