Jesse Brown, age 77, of Hwy. 30 East, Jackson, KY passed away on Friday, August 10, 2018 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY-He was born December 22, 1940 at Noctor, KY and was the son of the late John W. and Thelma (Truesdell) Brown.-He was preceded also in death by his wife: Anna Vehnekamp Brown.-Two sisters: Edith Griffith and Phyllis Grimes.-One brother: Jack Brown.-Jesse was a licensed plumber and electrician and was the long time manager of Empire Gas Company in Jackson, KY.-He graduated from Breathitt High School in 1958 and was the Valedictorian of his graduating class.-He is survived by two daughters: Ellen Maria (Jon) Demos of Lexington, KY-Katrina (James) Epperson of White Plains, KY-One son: Jeff (Bernetta) Brown of Morgantown, KY-Six grandchildren: Dustin Stevens, Emily B. Phem, Megan Epperson, Alex Demos, Jon David Epperson, Katie Demos.-One step grandchild: Brittany Perrin-Two sisters: Sally Kay Meade of Louisville, KY-Virginia Faye (Ron) King of Alexandria, VA.-He is also survived by a host of other relatives and many friends.-A private memorial service and Celebration of Life will be observed by his family.–Deaton Funeral Home  in charge of arrangements.
