I'm so sorry to hear about Jeff's passin'. He was one of the kindest souls I've ever met, always ready with a smile or a joke to lighten up the room. I remember the many conversations we had about the weather, life, and everything in between. His dedication to his work and his family was truly inspiring. Jeff, you will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. Rest in peace, my friend. Special thanks to obituariesbylastname.com for guiding me to this heartfelt obituary .

I mistakenly omitted Jeff’s brother, Len, was elected Potentate of Oleika Shrine Temple in Lexington approximately 30 years ago. I suspect Len was youngest ever to be appointed/elected to this position. Frank Fletcher

Jeff was an interesting person who knew a lot about international issues. He was an accomplished writer as well as a TV personality. I was a closer friend to his brother Larry but I always respected Jeff and Len as well as their father Leonard. Jeff left this world a better place.

Jeff had great career in TV and newspaper. He started out when WYMT started. Everybody loved him. Please understand some of my comments are sarcasm/kidding about Noble family. They were no strangers to sarcasm. Whole family smart. I admire whole family. Not enough space talk about all of them. Frankie was good Mayor for many years, I never could beat him one on one in basketball at Gambill’s, never. Tommy is a good smart guy and has wonderful family, full of great golfers, he and Sandy both retired from state. Len and Larry great intelligent guys. They all were kind to me. Bill Ken and I stayed over/spent nite. . I hope I did not offend anybody. Played basketball at Little Red with Larry, Co. champions and Len and I have been friends since 1960’s. I always lately ran into Jeff at Jiffy Mart and we would talk. He was kind to me and I wanted say something nice about him, great guy. It’s difficult talk about one Noble and not entire family. Most of all, in Jackson, we all gave each other a “hard time”. Hurts deeply for me to see childhood friends pass on, seems like a part of you goes with them. RIP Jeff Frank Fletcher

I met Jeff in 1987, we dated several months, we became great friends. I drove to Hazard where he then lived. He gave me a tour of WYMT studios where he was employed as the main Weatherman. He was extremely nice and caring. .He had 2 small children that he was so proud of. He made several trips to Pikeville. I would make him dinner, he enjoyed eating. I will forever remember him. I wasn't aware of any health issues. He visited me in 2010 when I lived in Nicholasville, KY. Rest in Peace my Friend.

In his prime, great intellect and personality. Definitely a “Noble,”, which was 80 percent good trait, though such a stubborn family. A very quiet family that never spoke up? Were good individuals, just didn’t want anybody know it. At one time, were a political force be reckoned with in Br. Co., and part of the “Turner machine”. White Flash was builder of political Noble power base. Their slogan was: “We’re proud of our old friends and look forward to making new friends”. Jeff was the only deep thinker of the entire Noble bunch. Larry and Len were mischievous in their prime. I grew up around all of Noble’s at Frog Pond and Main Street. Jeff had a lot of his father Noble personality and traits, a good thing. When Leonard and Charles Brown died, Jackson lost much of it’s personality, as Mayor Leonard Noble and original White Flash perished. Both families lost their mother and spouses at young ages. Never complained once. Frankie, Bill Ken and Linda Leigh have already passed on. Tommy is still with us. Jeff was a good guy, never received much of credit due him and was practically my neighbor where he perished. I looked up to him but he never knew it. What a family including Myrtle Noble Derrickson and Paul Owen and their children. What a big part of Jackson that entire family was. Jeff was a part of the “Noble” legacy. Had be there to “understand it”. RIP
