Jean A. Combs, age 72, of Altro, KY passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY. She was born June 26, 1951 in Perry County, KY and was the daughter of the late Ezra and Mary Akemon Combs. She was also preceded in death by her son: Harold Dean Combs and brother: Ezra Clyde Combs. She is survived by her husband: Floyd Combs of Altro, KY. Her daughter: Helen Lynn (Darrell) Deaton of Jackson, KY. Four brothers: Martin (Rachel) Combs of Talbert, KY; Fernan (Pam) Combs of Whick, KY; Tim Combs of Altro, KY; Fred (Sandy) Combs of WVA. Her sister: Barbara (JC) Collins of Altro, KY. Two grandsons: DJ (Megan) Deaton and Stephen Deaton (Katie Petty). One great granddaughter: Adaline Deaton. A best friend who she loved like a sister: Ollie Williams. She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Turner officiating. Burial in the White Cemetery at Barwick, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5:00-9:00 pm. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
