James Ernest Turner, age 67, of Jackson, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024.  He was born January 25, 1957 in Northville, MI and was the son of the late Ernest Turner.  He also was preceded in death by his wife: Flora Turner.  His paternal grandparents: Calvin and Rosa Turner.  His brother: Johnny Turner.  He is survived by his mother: Barbara M. Morris of MI.  His step mother: Lois Turner of Jackson, KY.  Son: George A. Turner of Jackson, KY.  Step brothers: Anthony Lawson (Chilla) and Dwayne Lawson (Donna), both of Jackson, KY.  His step sister: Judy Hamilton of Jackson, KY.  Two sisters:  Wilda (Harold) Phillips of Louisville, KY and Barbara (John) Morgan of MI.  One brother:  Bill (Melissa) Turner of MI;  One grandson:  James Wyatt Turner.  One great grandson: Kason Turner.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with David McIntosh officiating.  Burial in the Trent Cemetery, Hwy 541, War Creek, KY.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Monday until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
