Jack Neil Strong, age 49, a permanent resident of Lakeway, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Newport Beach, CA.  Born January 30, 1975, he is survived by his father: Jack Strong of Jackson, KY.  His mother:  Margaret Eulene Mays of Jackson, KY.  His children:  Jack Austin Strong, Blake Phoenix Strong, and Sydney Rey Strong, of Newport Beach, CA.  His brothers:  Toy Strong, Connor Strong and Travis Cornett, all of Jackson, KY.  He is also survived by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, a special friend, and many friends and work family who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his Grandparents:  David and Cora Strong and Cecil and Pansy Mays.  His uncle: David Sampson Strong and stepmother: Theresa Strong.

Jack Neil was a native of Jackson, KY.  After high school, he played tennis at the collegiate level. Next, he began his quest to become an aviator.  He went on to work for numerous airlines and companies, acquiring multiple type ratings in many different aircraft. He traveled extensively all over the world, touching and influencing many lives. He never hesitated to help others reach their goals in aviation.  He was a kind soul and a friend to many.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Bellamy, John Bunn, and Raymond Moore officiating.  Interment will be at the White and Francis Cemetery, Whick, KY.  Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers:  Toy Strong, Connor Strong, Joel Onkst, Parish Moffitt, Benny Bailey, Travis Cornett.  Honorary Pallbearers:  Uncles and Cousins.

In lieu flowers, family requests support for the J Neil Strong Memorial Aviation Scholarship Fund (GoFundMe).  This scholarship is being set up in his name to help an individual from his hometown or surrounding area achieve their dream of becoming a commercial pilot.
