Irene (Banks) Johnson, age 74, of Jackson, KY departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at her residence in Jackson, KY.–She was born April 5, 1943 and was the daughter of the late B. and Georgie Ellen (Brock) Banks.–She was preceded in death by her husband: Sherman Johnson.–One daughter: Betty Lorene Johnson Irving.–Seven sisters: Nan Maloney; Opal Fugate; Violet Terry, Shirley Hunter; Lorene Feightner; Nadine Banks, Pauline Banks.–Four brothers: Alvis Banks, Stanley Banks, R.V. Banks, Radine Banks.–She is survived by two daughters: Alisa Johnson Coyle and Brenda Johnson Troxell of Jackson, KY–Three sons in law: Charles Irving, JR, Charles Troxell and Wilson Coyle.–One sister: Helen (Dennis) Ackerman of Auburn, IN.–One brother: J C (Jeannie) Banks of Auburn, IN.–Four grandchildren: Trey (Christina) Coyle; Emily (Dylan) Carico; Addison Troxell, Dustin (Kayla) Irving.–Two great grandchildren: Arya Madison Coyle and Scarlett Dobson.–A host of honorary grandchildren, friends and relatives also survive.–Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Lansaw and James Southwood officiating.–Burial in the Johnson Family Cemetery, Belcher Fork Road, Jackson, KY–Visitation will begin on Friday at 5:00 p.m.–Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
