Harold “Butch” Smith, age 58, of Morris Fork, KY passed away on Wednesday, October 11, 2023 at the KY River Medical Center in Jackson, KY.  He was born February 18, 1965 in Hazard, KY and was the son of the late Claude and Grace Smith.  He was also preceded in death by brother: Darrell Smith and Nephew: Travis Allen Riley.  He is survived by his wife: Susan Deaton Smith of Morris Fork , KY.  His son; Harold Stephen Smith (Brittney Dennis) of Morris Fork, KY.  His daughter: Scarlett Nicole Smith  (Jaron Noble) of Morris Fork , KY.  Two sisters:  Linda ( Warren) Riley and Carolyn Smith of Morris Fork, KY.  Two grandsons:  Karson Smith and Noah Noble.  Nephews: Archie (Victoria) Smith, Mike Riley, TylerDale (Lexi) Deaton, Brysten Deaton.  Great nephews:  Lil Archie and Reid Smith.  He is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Ricky Thompson officiating with  additional services at 7:00 pm on Friday.  Burial in the Claude Smith Family Cemetery at Morris Fork, KY.  Visitation will be Friday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
