Harlan Arrowood, age 80, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Nim Henson Nursing Home. He was born January 8, 1936 at Canoe, KY and was the son of the late Hillard and Ida (Bowling) Arrowood. He was preceded in death by one brother: Harvey Arrowood. He is survived by three sisters: Ina Davidson of Jackson, KY; Alice Gray of Jackson, KY; Dorothy Faye Arrowood of MI; Two brothers: Bobby (Billie Faye) Arrowood of Jacksboro, TN and Hershel (Sandy) Arrowood of Mt. Carmel, KY. Special friends: Dennis Carpenter and Shirley Holbrook. A host of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2106 at 2:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Estill Barnett officiating. Burial in the Bud Bowling Cemetery, Stamper Fork Road, Canoe, KY. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 6:00 p.m. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
