Grant Levi Grubbs, age 43, of Hazard, KY passed away on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY.-He was born January 7, 1976 in Hazard, KY and was the son of the late Mary Virginia (Miller) Oaks.- He was also preceded in death by one aunt: Victoria Bailey.-Grant was actively employed as the 911 dispatcher in Perry County.-He is survived by his father: Levi Oaks, JR of Hazard, KY.-Three sisters:  Mary Susie (Elisha) Shepherd of Hazard, KY.-Alison Rogers of VA; Jenny Rogers of Hazard, KY.-Three brothers: Sam (Nancy) Oaks of Blackey, KY-George Edward (Pam) Oaks of Hazard, KY-James Oaks of Whitesburg, KY- One niece: Brooklyn Shepherd; Three Nephews: Bentley Shepherd, Nolan Abel, Ashton Gwinn.- Two honorable brothers: Jason (Traci) Lindon and Chase Smith of Hazard, KY.- Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Noon at the Hal Rogers Forum, Bulldog Lane, Hazard, KY with Mitch Fields officiating.-Burial in the Miller Cemetery at Elkatawa, KY.-Visitation will be from 6:00PM -9:00PM  on Tuesday at the Hal Rogers Forum. -Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements._ Pallbearers:  Trey Oaks, John Lindon, Joey Lindon, Major Gabbard, Kyle Bailey, Michael Sims, Randy Baker, Anthony Bowling, Brad Bolen.-Honorary Pallbearers:  Greg Napier, Jeff Adams, Kennan Akemon, Brian Sumner, Curtis Patrick, Richard Bishop, Jason Moore, Closest  Friends and Family
