George Darrel Watts, age 68, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the UK Hospital in Lexington, KY of a brief illness.  He was born July 8, 1954 at Watts, KY and was the son of the late Grover and Hiner Landsaw Watts.  He was also preceded in death by his wife: Wilma Mullins Watts.  Two brothers: Woodrow Watts and Whick Watts.  One sister: Vicie Strong.  He is survived by two brothers: Edward James (Carol) Watts and Zack (Julie) Watts both of Whick, KY.  One sister: Laverna (Bobby) Neace of Gays Creek, KY.  Special nephews:  Walter Fugate, James Trent, Elvis Watts.  Special Niece: Brenda Carol Herald.  He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, many other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Walter Fugate, Raymond Moore, Doug Finley and Krouc Noble & singers officiating. Burial will be in the Miller Family Cemetery at Mt. Carmel, KY.  Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Monday until the time of service. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
