Elizabeth (Bowling) Strong, age 77, of Hwy. 1110, Saldee, KY departed this earthly life on Saturday,  April 28, 2018 at her residence.–She was born February 21, 1941 at Canoe, KY and was the daughter of the late Arch and Della (Watts) Bowling.–She was a life time member of Howard’s Creek Old Regular Baptist Church and Miller’s Branch United Baptist Church and also served as a deacon.–She was preceded in death also by one sister: Jalia Burton and one brother: Reed Bowling. – She is survived by her beloved husband: Oscar Strong,  whom she  married on November 16, 1963.–She was the devoted mother of one daughter: Glenda (Mike) Combs of Jackson, KY–Two sons:  Eugene (Trish) Strong of Jackson, KY -Bobby (Sarah) Strong of Jackson, KY–Three brothers: Elijah Butch (Diane) Bowling of Edgewood, KY–Sam (Carol) Bowling of Corning, New York–Arch JR (Mary) Bowling of Jackson, KY–She was the cherished grandmother of Benjamin Dale Combs,- Makayla Elizabeth Combs, -Abigail Rose Strong, -Matthew Strong, -Mattix Strong, and Zachary Strong,–Kayella,- Willie John, -Raymond, -Matthew and Rik.–She is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. –Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ, Bowling Road,  Saldee, KY with Ollie James Bowling officiating.–Burial in the Reed Bowling Memorial Garden Cemetery at Saldee, KY.–Visitation will begin on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the church with additional singing at 6:00 p.m.–Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
