Edith (Akemon) Napier, age 78, of Jackson, KY passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, KY–She was born July 19, 1939, at Grapevine, KY and was the daughter of the late Sam and Callie (Deaton) Akemon.–She was preceded in death by her husband: Fred Napier.–Eight sisters:  Evaline Raleigh, Mary Lizzie Spicer, Dora Gross, Jane Campbell, Amanda Ellen Campbell, Lula Barger, Doris Jean Sebastian, Della Mae Harrison.–Seven  brothers:  Josh Akemon, Luther Akemon, John Akemon, Sam Akemon, Elmer Akemon, Brown Akemon and Jim Akemon.  She is survived by two daughters: Lois Jean (Travis) Noble of Clayhole, KY–Joyce Combs of Jackson, KY.  Two sons: Fred Napier, JR of Jackson, KY. –Ted Napier of Clayhole, KY.–Eleven grandchildren, Two great grand children.–Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel. with David McIntosh officiating.–Burial in the Napier Cemetery, Riley Branch Road, Clayhole, KY.–Visitation will begin on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. with additional services at 6:00 p.m. with Armon Nichols officiating.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.–Pallbearers: Family and Friends.
