Eddie Dean “Drifter”  Banks, age 67, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 15, 2024 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, KY.  He was born January 25, 1957 in Winchester, KY to the late Hargis and Mary Banks.  He was also preceded in death by his first born son, Jerry Dean Banks.  Eddie is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Jocie Vires Banks of Mt. Carmel, KY.  His youngest son: Terry (Kelli) Banks of Jackson, KY.  Grandchildren: Dawson and Dallas Banks , both of Jackson, KY and Haley Brown and Jake Banks.  One great grandchild:  Claire Brown.  A host of nieces, nephews, siblings and in laws survive to grieve his passing.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
