Dottie Lou Combs, age 72, of Beattyville, KY went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, December 8, 2024.  She was born August 18, 1952, in Lexington, KY and was the daughter of the late Jesse and Dorothy Terry Haddix.  She was also preceded in death by four brothers:  Chester Haddix, Ova Haddix, Dennis Haddix and Woodrow Haddix.  Dottie was a retired schoolteacher in the Breathitt County School System.  Owner of Dot Weld in Jackson, KY.   A member of the Grace Bible Community Church at Highland Road, Jackson, KY.  She was an avid prayer warrior and                 prayer partner at WLJC in Beattyville, KY for many years.   She is survived by her husband of 52 years: Harold Gene Combs of Beattyville, KY.  One son: Harold Ray (Whitney) Combs of Liberty Hill, TX.  Two brothers:  Daniel Haddix of Danville, KY and Donnie Haddix of Jackson, KY.  Two sisters:  Thelma Johnson and Lenora Bush, both of Jackson, KY.  Three grandchildren:  Maria Combs, Isabella Grace Combs, and Joey Knabel.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends as well as many special friends at WLJC.   Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Cecil Burns officiating.  Burial in the Combs Cemetery at Juan, KY.  Visitation will be Tuesday from 5:00-9:00 pm. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.  Pallbearers:  Donnie Haddix, Jacob Haddix, Arch Combs, Bryan Combs, Jr, Rick King, Bryan Charles Combs.
