Donna Jean (Conyers) Hayes, age 70, of Jackson, KY died Saturday, November 16, 2019, at the Tidewell Hospice Home inPort Charlotte, FL, the result of a massive stroke on November 6, 2019.-She was born December 20, 1948 in Newcastle, Indiana where she grew up on the family farm.-She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Dorothy Hart Conyers, natives of Bath County, KY, later of Henry County, IN. She was also preceded in death by one infant son: Doug. -One brother: Lonnie Conyers.- Donna came to Breathitt County in 1992 and worked side by side with her husband at the Kentucky Explorer magazine.-Previously, she had been employed at Clark County Hospital in Winchester, KY and before that by Chrysler Motor Company in Newcastle, IN.-In Breathitt County she was a member of numerous clubs and organizations serving as president of the Jackson Woman’s Club. Donna was a member of the Breathitt County Historical Society and of the Biscayne Baptist Church.-She is survived by her husband: Charles Hayes of Jackson, KY.-One daughter: Dottie (Shane) Razor and one son: Scott Reynolds..-Two granddaughters: Sarah (Zach)Bruner and Shayle Razor; -Two great-grandsons: Jase and Abel Bruner-One brother: Ricky (Patsy) Conyers and sister-in-law Phyllis Conyers, along with a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends: One uncle: Charles (Mary) Hart of Bath County, KY.-Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Deaton Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Robert Cundiff officiating.-Burial in the Jackson Cemetery.-Visitation will begin on Thursday, November 21, from 5-8 pm.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.-Pallbearers: Mike Fugate, Gary Fugate, Joe Mike Allen, David Hubbard, Doug Rose, Ronnie Hubbard.
