Brenda Joyce Spencer, age 76, of Somerset, KY passed away on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at the lHospice Unit at Lake Cumberland Hospital in Somerset, KY.  She was born March 17, 1947 in Jackson, KY and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bessie Deaton Sims.  She was preceded also in death by her husband: Johnny Spencer.  Her son in law: Steve Pittman.  She is survived by her son: Scott Spencer of Somerset, KY.  Her daughter: Tonya Spencer-Pittman of Nancy, KY.  Her sister: Gwendolyn Gross of Union, KY.  Her brother: Lonnie “Butch” Sims and wife Marilyn of Springboro, OH.  Seven grandchildren:  Kalyssa Brooke Pride, Stephen Johnny Lee Pittman, Mary Elizabeth-Joyce Pittman, Jenna Shane Pittman, Lilah Raven Pittman, Johnny Lee Pittman, Memphis Scott Lee Pittman.  She is also survived by a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial in the Pennington Cemetery at Canoe, KY.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm on Tuesday until time of service.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
