Black was a great friend and a trustworthy business partner. He was part of part of a group that owned the Jackson Inn for over forty years. He also served the community as an active participant in civic activities, he served Breathitt County as a magistrate for two terms, was charter member of the Bresthitt County Industrial Board and long term member of the Tourism Board. A great joy for him was his work in his plumbing business. He ran it successfully for 70 years and offered employment to scores of people. Black will be sadly missed.
