Billy Ray Profitt, age 69, of Knoxville, TN and formerly of Breathitt County, KY passed away on Saturday, July 29,2017 at the Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.–He was born July 7, 1948 in Bethany, KY and was the son of the late Douglas and Linnie (Bowman) Profitt.–He was a retired employee of General Motors and a Veteran of the United States Marines and served in Vietnam.–He was preceded in death by two sisters: Patsy Hall and Jessie Profitt.–One brother: George Profitt.– He is survived by one daughter: Felicia Profitt of Superior, CO.–One son: Vincent Profitt of MN.–Three sisters: Sharon West of IL.-Dessie Profitt of Knoxville, TN.-Essie Sellers of OH.–Four brothers: Joseph Profitt of Jackson, KY.-James Profitt of CO.-Ronnie Profitt of OH.-Roy Lee Profitt of CA.–One granddaughter: Kaia Stevens.–Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Noon at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Tom Lorimer and Ronnie Profitt officiating.-Burial in the Bowman Family Property, Lower Twin Road, Jackson, KY.–Visitation will begin on Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
