Betty Faye Hensley, age 79, of Jackson, KY passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at her home in Jackson. She was an avid homemaker who enjoyed the outdoors and loved to dance. Betty was born December 5, 1944, to Thomas and Georgia Fraley Southers. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years: Bob Hensley. One son: William Hensley. One granddaughter, Cassaundra Warren Fugate. One infant grandson, two brothers: James and Charles Lee Southers. Three sisters: Lillie Southers, Vina Southers Combs and Laura Belle Hensley. She is survived by one son: Robert Lee “Bobby” and Shelly Hensley. Four daughters: Evelyn Kay Hensley (John McIntosh), Marilyn (Anthony) Tirey, Patricia Ann (Thomas) Parr, Kathleen Hensley. Thirteen grandchildren: Jerry Lee (Jackie) Campbell, Nolan (Tosha) Herald, Teddy Joe (Erinn) Warren, Bobby Anderson Herald, Natasha Lee Anne (Roland Eugene) Bailey, Tiffany Rose (Corey) McBain, David Patrick (Sierra) Warren, Jess (Lillie Custer-Adams) Hensley, Helena Kay Elizabeth Herald, Jacob Tyler (Brittany) Little, Robert Allen Hensley, Raven Erika Nicole Little and special granddaughter: Kaylan Cheyenne Little. Seventeen great grandchildren: Austin Reed Hearld, Maleah Ann Rose Herald, Noah Herald, Raylee Herald, Abigail Fugate, Tony Bailey, Jasper Little, Sunni Little, Isaiah Warren, Colby Noble, Mayla McBain, Boyd McBain, Addilyn Hensley, Ellie Hensley, Freddie Hensley, Kyla McIntosh, Emilee Reed. One brother: William Edward (Sheila) Southers. One very special friend: Cyd Dixon. Long time friend: Brenda Terry. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 1:30 pm at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with John Bunn officiating. Burial in the Hensley Cemetery, Roark Mountain, Jackson, KY. Visitation will begin on Tuesday from 5:00-9:00 pm.: Pallbearers: Family. Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements
