Bertha Lee Gilbert, age 70, of Jackson, KY passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024 at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  She was born March 10, 1954 at Oneida, KY and was the daughter of the late Aulden Burns and Sabra Carmack Burns.  She was also preceded in death by son: Scotty Gilbert and brother: Raleigh Burns.  She is survived by her daughter: Sondra  Sandlin (Mitchell Campbell) of Jackson, KY.   Seven sisters:  Patty Burns and Dorena Mullins of Georgetown, KY.  Teresa Burns of NC.  Jackie Burns of St. Petersburg, FL.  Bonnie Burns, Edith Combs and Naomi Burns of Corbin, KY.  Three grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  No services scheduled at this time.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
