Barbara Newton, age 69, of Campton, KY passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, KY.  She was born August 3, 1955, in Dayton, OH and was the daughter of the late Lyman and Margie Bowling Brown.  She also was preceded in death by her brothers:  Vernon Calloway, Marvin Brown, Sydney Brown, David Brown.  Her sisters:  Lizzy Brown, Irene Salyer, Thelma Brown.  Her son in law: Paul Troy.  She is survived by one son: John Newton, Jr of Jackson, KY.  Two daughters: Janice Troy of Campton, KY and Callie Reno of Viper, KY.  One brother: Leo (Liz) Brown of Trotwood, OH.  Four sisters: Kathie Brown of Union, OH; Bonnie Brown of Dayton, OH; Geneva Disney of Huber Heights, OH and Beulah Adams of Nancy, KY.  Three grandchildren:  Tyler Troy, Hailee Newton, Emaleigh Newton.  She is also survived by a host of other relatives and friends.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at 11:00 am. Burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Booneville, KY.   Visitation will begin on Monday from 5:00-9:00 pm.  Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
