Alfred Herald, age 71, of Lerose, KY passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY.-He was born November 8, 1947 at Crockettsville, KY and was the son of the late Kella M. and Isabell (Turner) Herald.-He was a retired coal miner and heavey equipment operator and was an  Elder of the Booneville Presbyterian Church. -He was preceded in death by two sisters: Lois Brewer and Mae Henson.-Four brothers: Arch Herald, Steve Herald, Alex Herald and Zak Herald.-He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Phyllis Jane (Campbell) Herald of Lerose, KY-Two sons: Joseph Alfred Herald of Richmond, KY-Jason (Brittney) Herald of Lerose, KY.- Two grandchildren: Ciara (Ben) Spence of Lerose, KY; Waylon James of Lerose, KY.: One great grandson:Bryson James Spence; One sister: Mima Dee Spicer of Newport, KY -One brother: Brown (Laureen) Herald of Gary, IN; -He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.-Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel with Terry Sandlin and Steven Jackson officiating.-Burial in the Crockettsville Cemetery, Crockettsville, KY.-Visitation will begin on Tuesday, February 12 at 5:00 p.m.-Deaton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.- Pallbearers: Friends and Family
